Welcome to a conversation between "Evenings and Weekends" author Oisín McKenna and "Habitat" author Catriona Shine.
Catriona will interview Oisín about his debut novel, which has received widespread praise since publication this spring.
Mingling and book signing will take place after the conversation and Q&A portion. Refreshments kindly provided by the Embassy of Ireland in Norway.

Oisín McKenna grew up in Drogheda, Ireland, and lives in London. He was awarded the Next Generation Bursary from the Arts Council of Ireland to write Evenings and Weekends and it was developed with further support from Arts Council England. In 2022, he was awarded a London Writers Award, and in 2017, he was named in the Irish Times as one of the best spoken word artists in the country. He has written and performed four theatre shows, including ADMIN, an award-winning production at Dublin Fringe 2019, and his writing has appeared in the Irish Times, Banshee, and more.
Catriona Shine grew up in Ireland and now works as an architect in Oslo. She is a recipient of an Arts Council Literature Bursary Award 2023 and her writing has appeared in The Dublin Review, Channel, Southword and elsewhere. Her debut novel "Habitat" was positively reviewed in the Irish Independent, and Catriona Shine was listed as "one to watch" for 2024 by the Irish Times.
